Curated by Alexander Roberts
With Others
This symposium explores the working practices of artists whose work centres upon unlikely or experimental collaborations – be that collaborations with non-humans, collaborations with non-professionals, or unlikely grounds for an artistic exchange.
Rich with talks, mini-workshops, performances and interventions, Spectacular Symposium is a vital space within Every Body’s Spectacular for dialogue, provocation and reflection.
Developed in collaboration with the Iceland University of the Arts, guest artists and curators are invited to introduce and reflect upon the questions, desires, doubts and urgencies surrounding their work in conversation with the general public.
Talks, workshops and performance by
Broken Talkers, Bára Sigfúsdóttir, Elina Pirinen, The Famous Lauren Barri Holstein, Philippe Quesne, Matteo Fargion, Mette Edvardsen, and Aaron Wright.
This symposium is co-produced by the Iceland University of the Arts and Every Body’s Spectacular Festival.
