Every Body´s Spectacular is an bi-annual contemporary performance festival that brings bold brilliant artists – from around the world – into conversation with the city of Reykjavík. Stretching over 5 days, it will offer one bold, brave and brilliant festival of contemporary performance. You can expect new international work, along with premieres of pieces by some of the city’s most exciting makers of theatre and dance.

The third Every Body’s Spectacular Festival sees the collaboration between LÓKAL and Reykjavík Dance Festival continue in the form the Every Body’s Spectacular festival concept that brings together international and national artists from across the performing arts onto one shared platform.

The focus remains on artists whose practices challenge and stretch the dominant modes of the performing arts field, and equally artists whose work looks to localise its questions and practices in dialogue with the city and those dwelling in it.

Through performances, happenings, talks, parties and social gatherings the festival looks to take place in art and non-art spaces across the city and beyond – in significant collaboration with those dwelling there.

Every body´s Spectacular is produced by two leading festivals in Reykjavík, Reykjavík Dance Festival and LÓKAL International theater festival - we couldn't be more delighted to be bringing this festival to life in November – and we hope to have you with us for the ride.
