Inaugural Every Body’s Spectacular Festival sees the collaboration between LÓKAL and Reykjavík Dance Festival continue in the form of a new festival concept that brings together international and national artists from across the performing arts onto one shared platform.
The focus remains on artists whose practices challenge and stretch the dominant modes of the performing arts field, and equally artists whose work looks to localise its questions and practices in dialogue with the city and those dwelling in it.
Through performances, happenings, talks, parties and social gatherings the festival looks to take place in art and non-art spaces across the city and beyond – in significant collaboration with those dwelling there.

Events took place at Tjarnarbío, Mengi, the Reykjavík Dance Atelier, the National Broadcasting House, Gamla Bío, the Reykjavík City Theatre, the National Theatre of Iceland, the Reykjavík Art Museum, and the Iceland University of the Arts. The events were supported by Reykjavík City, the Nordisk Kulturfond, Goethe Institute, Kulturkontakt Nord and the Iceland Ministry of Culture and Education.
